The Bourne’s first Female Cricket Team

We are so proud to be leaning out the door of our Pavilion coffee counter to applaud and support the first EVER female cricket team to call the building their home. Introducing, the Bourne Cricket Club Women’s Team.

Taking part in the I’Anson Cup Competitions – Women’s Division 2 2025, our local ladies are playing in the tournament every other weekend, whilst training regularly as they begin their journey into the world of cricket.

They don’t have an official nickname yet, they would consider themselves beginners, but they are having an absolute ball (ba dum tss) getting together to have a laugh and get involved in team sports.

Captained by Katie Jarvis and Laura Eeles, the team will next be on the Bourne Green on June 1st, so we hope to see lots of you out there enjoying a Coffee Can coffee whilst supporting our women’s team!

Other cricket teams on the Bourne Green

Cricket is at the core of the history of the Green, so it will be no surprise to hear that it plays host to a vast array of teams including the Bourne Barracudas. From children’s teams to seniors, competitive to friendly, the Bourne Green Cricket Club covers all.

Whilst we love cheering from the sidelines, CC in our world stands for Coffee Can rather than Cricket Club, so for all the latest information on any team, please head straight to the Bourne Cricket Club website. We can provide the hot drinks from the sideline!
