Before we get any further, we want it to be known that we are firmly in the bracket that pancakes are an all-year-round thing. None of this ‘have them on Shrove Tuesday and forget about them for the rest of the year’, no no. With the launch of our new Surrey coffee shop menu<\/a> at the start of the year, we brought in a whole new range of fluffy pancakes to the people of Milford, and they’ve been going down an absolute storm ever since.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

That being said, we knew that Pancake Day deserved a bit of special attention (any excuse for an extra pancake or two), so we got hatching plans to create the ultimate pancakes specials board…<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The team Whatsapp chat was buzzing around with ideas – some more practical than others, it must be said. Did it make me immediately hungry? Yes. But when you see what we settled on, you’ll see why <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Apple Crumble Pancake Stack <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Imagine having the audacity to load freshly stewed apples from the Farm Shop on a stack of our homemade fluffy pancakes, surround them with buttery crumble AND top it off with a pot of Devon custard?! Well Amy has only gone and done it, and it is a masterpiece. It brings such a welcome and familiar warmth from your favourite classic dessert to Pancake Day. I for one will be adding cinnamon to my pancakes all the time now, because this pancake stack has elevated the game! No more lemon and sugar round here.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Butterscotch and Pecan<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

For those who like the slightly richer tones than traditional maple syrup, our homemade butterscotch has been reduced to a thick sauce which is balanced by white chocolate curls. Add in some toasted pecans and it’s ready to go. This pancake stack is rich and indulgent and perfect for those who love a pecan danish every now and again. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nutella and Strawberries<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

You know it, you love it. This has been SUCH a popular order for families coming in because who can resist the chocolatey sauce of Nutella?! Strawberry season hasn’t quite arrived here at Secrett’s Farm Shop yet, but we’ve made sure to source some deliciously sweet and ripe strawberries because we know that a pancake stack deserves nothing less! <\/p>\n\n\n\n
